It all depends on the right disc!
The Jupiter Universal Meat Grinder attachment, whether for KitchenAid, SMEG, Kenwood or the Jupiter drive system, is versatile. To help you find the right disc for your desired result, we have compiled an overview in this post:
A basic rule: the finer the desired result, the smaller the hole size of the disc you should choose.
1. 2mm Disc
This disc is ideal for fine foods such as chicken or vegetable pâtés, liver dumplings, spinach for the youngest, or fine sausage specialties.
2. 3mm Disc
The 3mm disc is a true all-rounder. Whether for pea or lentil soup, tartar, ketchup, or meatloaf – this disc is always the right choice.
3. 4.5mm Disc
This disc makes quick work of herring fillets and firm meat, as well as leeks or mushrooms. For this reason, it is well suited for common (sausage) fillings and minced meat.
4. 6mm Disc
With this disc, you can grind almost anything. It is therefore ideal for foods that are to be used quickly after being put through the grinder.
5. 8mm Disc
With this disc, you can also process firm or sinewy meat. It is also very well suited for preparing meat to be ground again with a smaller disc.
6. 8mm Square Disc
The 8mm square disc, together with the 2-bladed steel knife, forms the bacon dicing set, which dices bacon in the shortest time.
